MY PROCESS

Because purchasing or selling a home is often one of the largest financial transactions you'll go through in your life, understanding the plan is something I take very seriously. When you partner with me to work towards your real estate goals, we'll sit down together over a coffee, cocktail, or a good ol' glass of water to lay out the blueprint for your home journey. For buyers, this will mean establishing your desired areas, creating a "wants and needs" checklist, and analyzing your ideal home affordability range. For sellers, this will mean talking about your home's layout and features, discussing how to properly prepare your home for the market, and evaluating pricing strategies.

As my client, I believe you should not only feel taken care of on the transactional side of things [after all, we're dealing with a lot of legal forms here], you should feel at ease enough to call me if you find yourself hyperventilating into a paper bag so we can step back off the ledge together. Let's be honest, real estate can be stressful, and it's my job to help mitigate that stress so you can actually smile, laugh, and enjoy yourself a time or two. But don't be fooled by the relaxed demeanor, while I love making the process fun, I'm always willing and capable of going to bat for your best interests. Rest assured, when it comes to helping my clients win at homeownership, I'll machete my way through any obstacle.

Finding The Needle In The Haystack

I love working with first-time home buyers, especially the skeptical buyers that their friends or family members have scared them with their own personal horror stories of house hunting. There's nothing more fun than those happy clients telling their friends and family how painless and enjoyable the process was, especially when the house-hunting period only lasted a few weeks. 

 

Not too long ago I was working with this sweet, young couple that was afraid we wouldn't find anything in the location they wanted that fit within their budget.  At their buyer consultation, they laid out their vision for their new home - the must-haves, the deal breakers...and finally, the neighborhood they wanted. They were prepared for the worst when we finally went out searching. 

 

After looking at a couple homes, which were (I'll admit) a little discouraging, I spotted what looked like the perfect home for them during my morning prospecting. We immediately booked an appointment to see the home, they fell in love right away, wrote an offer, and now are the proud owners of a beautiful SE Portland home!

Being a mother of three competitive athletes and wife to a genius husband has gifted me with patience, compassion, and more than a few gray hairs. At this point in my life, I can handle just about anything with a steady hand, a sense of humor, and a solution-focused mindset.
